Feeding Trough {467}

Dear Miss Dinah,

This morning, it was already pretty hot outside. World Friendship meets outside in a park area during the summer months, today being the first of those meetings, so we head out with Paramee bright and early. Snacks, swings, slides and silly kiddos running around - successful morning on all accounts. Paramee and her husband will soon be moving as her husband got a job at a university in another state. They will be sorely missed! And hopefully, we will keep in good touch.

More packing today...

And lounging...

Enjoy the chair because it's going into storage for the summer. The car will be too full to take it back with us.

Ok, packing time again...

Anybody want to help? No?

You asked for some cranberries, apparently to set up a feeding trough. Very thoughtful of you.

Tonight before you went to bed, you asked for an apricot, and you fed it to all 4 animal friends before you ate it.

The boxes are slowly stacking up...

Kitchen wall has been done for a few days...

Before bed, we watched / and listened to some beautiful piano music.

I love you,

Mamma <3

Evening Fountains {466}

Dear Miss Dinah,

Packing boxes while you napped today, you woke up and I was labeling, so you grabbed a pencil to help out!

You had already gone to bed for the evening (about 7:30) when Daddy got home and wanted to take us to these little fountains near a hotel. So, we went!

Water comes out of small holes in the ground surrounding this small 'mote' of water.

Another fountain sculpture you and Daddy are investigating, way over there :)

Color-changing lighted fountains.

 While you had your hand over it like this, one of these fountains sprayed up tall, giving you quite a surprise -- and a wet outfit.

Playing on the beautiful lawn! You are the purple dot in the middle :)

Bed time well earned by everyone today.

I love you,

Mamma <3

Happy Mother's Day {465}

Dear Miss Dinah,

You and Daddy looked so sweet in your matching blues, we decided to snap a quick picture after church. You did not exactly oblige...

We got you to look half-way happy about taking a picture with your Mamma.

Learning to take split open peas.

Stove was out of commission, so bagel pizzas were for dinner.

Books for bedtime with Daddy.

~~~Happy Mother's Day~~~
I love you,
Mamma <3
Bouffant {464}
Dear Miss Dinah,
Slurping breakfast milk.
Found this in Grandpa Tom's basement from one of the previous times we visited. Looks like it was your 'first artistic endeavor.'   :)
Walked to a coffee shop this morning, then to go visit some puppies at the pet shop. "Puh daaaaw!!" you pointed out to everyone.
All afternoon you stayed with Grandma Sisi and your aunts while Mamma and Daddy went to a wedding. We finally met back up and drove home!
Your hairstyle after your twisties came out (I put it up wet today!)  Looks very 'bouffant.'  :)
I love you (more and more every day!)
A Reason to Swing {463}
Dear Miss Dinah,
Packing up again...
and trying on as we go...
Stopped at some friends' house on the way to Grandpa's. Taking a car ride with Anna...
Swinging in Grandpa's back yard.
I think you stayed in this swing at least 45 minutes.
You sure love to swing!
Your laughter as you do is the greatest thing ever.
Grandpa and Daddy having a lengthy discussion. You are standing motionless on the slide, looking on.
I love you,
Mamma <3
Play & Work {462}
Dear Miss Dinah,
Exercising on the stage at the city park this morning.
Up and down those ramps you went numerous times...
Queen of the toy heap: You got cozy in the blanket, then dumped the toys.
Watching Daddy (in the van) and Mr. Tom (on sidewalk) clean out and fix up the carpet cleaning van for their first job of the season tomorrow.
Adventuring with Pizwit: today, pine needles.
Daddy got your chair out so you might sit in it. Instead, you set up shop.
Noteworthy: this afternoon at the library, you were playing with the toy that has all the different locks on it, and I was very impressed with your abilities at opening the different locks. Then, on the letter board, you did a really great job matching up the letter magnets with the letters on the board.
I love you,
Mamma <3
