Baby Words and a Loveda Letter {295}

Dear Miss Dinah,

You are making a few new sounds and repeating most one-syllable sounds very well.

If I ask you to repeat a word that has more than 2 syllables, you typically just stop the first:

button = buh
mitten = mi

You have a very clear understanding, however, of most words, and even many phrases we say.

"Dinah, go get your towel and put it on the bed please!"
"Would you go and get Mamma a diaper?"

Sometimes, of course, you choose not to want to do what I ask, but it's clear that you do understand ;-)

It's fun to ask you to show me where your eyes/ nose/ ears/ mouth/ tongue/ fingers/ toes/ tummy/ belly button is. You eagerly do :)

You are able to sit and read for a longer time. You are becoming more interested in what is happening in the illustrations, and able to identify familiar objects in the pictures.

And obviously, you love Peek-a-Boo.

This afternoon we wrote a letter to a little friend who lives in Haiti. She has the most beautiful name -- Loveda.

I love you,

Mamma <3
