Daddy is the Safest Place {288}

Dear Miss Dinah,

This morning you got a little Face-Time with cousin Emma as we talked about our upcoming trip to Tennessee. The call was prematurely ended, however, due to the uncontrollable urge to push buttons :-)

Later this morning we went to Mr. Ian's and Miss Amsie's house for lunch. Lots of coloring and drawing going on, which you were very interested in.

Outside we played on bikes and drew with chalk on the driveway.

You got to ride the little worm!

 I think the lighting in this next picture is neat. Daddy is wetting down the dirt in preparation to pour more concrete tomorrow.

And a little snack before going to dinner.

We went back to Miss Amsie's family's home to eat dinner with some friends from our church community. There was delicious food which I know you approved of because you came back for seconds, thirds, fourths...  First you came to Ms. Reagen's lap for more applesauce, then to Daddy for more bread and chicken, then to Mamma's lap...

lots of loud and rowdy conversation both by the children and the adults!

You were tired, but giddy, and oh-so-huggy when we came home. You are starting to wrap your little arms around me tighter and tighter each day, and saying "Mamamama," more clearly and in more of a sing-songy voice too. You love being carried around by Daddy too, and as you hold tightly onto the back of his arm for balance and stability, he often tells you this very sweet thing:

"Daddy is the safest place to be."

I love you,

Mamma <3
