We put braids in this morning, so that's important news, right? They were the cutest, tiniest little braids anyone's ever seen. And you may have needed a microscope to see them.
Yes, you are putting a bow in "Cool" Ducky's hair while we fixed your hair, sweet thing. |
Grampa Tom stayed at the Loft, and when he got to the house this morning, we made biscuits and gravy as a late Father's Day gift. He likes his biscuits and gravy. In fact, he liked them so much this morning that he said he didn't even need to have lunch before they left early this afternoon.
We were sad to see them go, and so grateful they could be here to celebrate your birthday. You love your Aunt Elisa and she is so good to you when she's around. She's so attentive and nurturing, almost like a "second" mamma. When you wake up from naps, she looks at me anxiously like, "Can I go get her now!?" and is a helpful set of extra hands who will do anything to help cook/clean/baby care when she is around. Her preference, of course, is baby care.
Did you know that she called me just shortly after I gave birth, and said tearfully, "You had a girl???" She was just thrilled.
I love you,
Mamma <3
