We were up at 6 am again. Mr. Corrado and little Auggie were up too. Corrado said that Ms. Carrissa was at the hospital! He said that she woke up at 2am and little Leo was running a pretty high fever. She called the nurse to told her she should bring him in. After running some tests, they decided it was the flu, and they finally got home around 6:30. We all ate breakfast and then they all went back to bed and we stayed up, of course! You did, however take a nap later in the morning, which was nice.
Pictures from a snowed in family:
That is a bush down there in the left hand corner. |
Daddy was out running the snow blower at this time. Also, Corrado had just cleaned our car off only about an hour ago! |
Auggie wakes up and asks Daddy to read with him.
We went over to Auggie and Leo's grandparents' (Ms. Carrissa's parents) house for lunch. We had pancakes, bacon, and ham which had actually been prepared for breakfast, but of course we were running late this morning because of Leo's middle of the night adventure.
After lunch, Daddy and Corrado road snow mobiles out on a trail for about an hour. We got bundled up and road sleds around the driveway and then did our own version of "snow mobiling."
You LOVED it.
I'm convinced that if you were cold at all, you had no realization of it at all.
Daddy was out taking these pictures of you before he left, here he has the camera flipped towards himself at first accidentally - he thinks he's taking pictures of you :)
Later on, you and Auggie stayed to play with the grandparents and Ms. Carrissa and Mamma went out for a bit. When we came back, you were back at it outside with Daddy!
You call snow, "sn" and pout up your mouth and wrinkle up your nose to make a funny face while you say it.
But again, you love it. Despite all it's biting coldness, you love it. Oh you even ate some off your glove from time to time. Daddy said you'd been out about 30 minutes by this time, and you still didn't want to come in.
When we finally got home, we made some dinner and I gave you a bath. You and Auggie both love baths. You say, bah! And he says, tub! And you both just love standing there watching it run. Auggie is also a sweet little buddy. He loves to just quietly be around whatever we're doing. If we go away to read a book, get ready for bed, or change a diaper, Auggie will just creep quietly into the room and watch what's going on.
Oh, also, Leo slept most of the day, waking to nurse occasionally and his temperature has slowly gone down.
You got so tired in the middle of dinner that Daddy finally took you to go brush your teeth, read a book, and go to bed. You were asleep in less than 2 minutes.
I love you,
Mamma <3
