Dear Miss Dinah,
This morning we got ready for Daddy to leave for a job a few hours away. He will be gone 2 or 3 days.
He is putting a new roof on your (Great) Aunt Leslie's house. Gampa, Uncle Nick, and Uncle Dan are going to.
He got all ready to leave, but learned that no one else was there yet, so he was able to join us for our morning errands. It was a treat. We dropped the car off for an oil change and walked across the street to do some shopping. Laughing and meandering through Wal-Mart for an hour, we also collected what we needed, then sat down and had some snacks.
We came home, and Daddy was soon on his way. And we got on with our tasks - including restocking toilet paper and paper towels:
According to our bathroom scale (while I hold you), you weigh about 20 lbs. now! Good job growing, girl :)
We called our friend who is watching out for Pizwit while we are gone. We told her that we would be a few more days gone than we first expected. We are so thankful for her, and can't wait to see that wonderful kitty again soon!
This evening we read a little more of a hand-rhyming book we have been enjoying. I read to you a while, and then you sat and read to yourself as I took care of some business.
Here is a favorite:
Here is the beehive.
Where are the bees?
Hidden away where nobody sees.
Watch and you'll see them come out of the hive...
One, two, three, four...five!
Bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz! All fly away.
I love you,
Mamma <3
