Early Rising {48}

Dear Miss Dinah,

We were up before the sun this morning, thanks to help from Daylight Savings.

It was great! It gave us plenty of time to...

Practice standing up using any sort of apparatus you can balance your weight on.
It's fun to see what you come up with.

Other standing apparatus today included cabinets in the church kitchen. Our cabinets at home are still in the making so ones that open and close definitely added an element of surprise. And later on, you used the couch at home, but you added your comb into the equation -- sticking it in the crease of the piping and trying to hoist your weight up by that. Your flimsy little comb didn't stand up to that one, and you went ker-plunk. Another funny one was using the stroller and an adjacent box, as the stroller tried to roll. The more challenge, the more fun.

Until...

Something goes awry. This time you just sort of twisted your little body around to the sitting position as you held on the dishwasher. No biggie. And that church cabinet left you with a little scrape for a souvenir.

Daddy didn't get up quite as early as the rest of us, though you seemed to want to pay him a little visit.

The rest of our day was rainy and lazy. Good old Sunday :)

Oh, one last thing! Tired/teething little girl was not content to lay in her bed tonight quietly. You fussed for about 20-30 minutes, and when you finally fell asleep, Daddy said to me, "Hey! Let's go see what funny position she finally fell asleep in!" You do find some pretty precarious ones. Tonight, you were simply flat out on your back, arms overhead. WE LOVE YOU.

Mamma <3
