You are always very helpful in making the bed. Normally, you stand on the floor, pull the covers over your head and play peek-a-boo. This morning, though, you climbed right up and got comfy.
This morning we got outside to enjoy the little things.
Opening and closing the gate.
Finding backyard treasure.
And meeting friendly neighbors.
Inside, there was HUGE transformation going on...

A lot can change in a day, and needless to say, A LOT has changed during the past year. I could never have imagined everything that would happen during these last 365 days. In fact, looking at the outward circumstances of our life, CHANGE has seemed to be the constant theme. Besides that, very little seems constant or stable. My prayer is that we remain focused on the unchanging, constant, stability of the Word of God and not the uncertainty that surrounds and can even overwhelm us at times. Because Lord knows I need that stability!! The only rock, the only firm foundation to build on is Jesus Christ and His words, commands, promises, etc.
I have enjoyed each and every day writing these letters to you, daughter. Though the main purpose was writing short, fun, little notes to you, a secondary purpose was so that friends and family could also keep up with what's going on with us. I'm hoping that if they enjoyed stopping by and reading each day, they feel free today to leave a little note saying hi, and maybe what kept them coming back to read these funny little letters :) We'll probably keep up writing for a while longer, and I have some fun changes up my sleeve too...
