A Glimpse of Heaven {221}

Dear Miss Dinah,

We thought yesterday would be the perfect day for a trip to the zoo.
I have to believe that we were right :)

Animals are a wonder. Big animals especially are a majestic part of God's creation. It is fascinating to behold how meticulously each was fashioned for its unique purpose. There was a desert camel that could withstand temperatures from -20 to 120 degrees because its body temperature fluctuated 10 degrees. It stored fat in its humps and could go months without food or water. The camels humps also become limp and flop over when it starts needing nourishment again, and it can smell water from miles away.

I'd never thought water had a smell!

There were so many great animals at this zoo like rhinos, giraffes, elephants, panthers, pumas, leopards, llamas, and so many more...

Always let a sleeping rhino lay...

Rhino watching, or people watching?

Onward...

Giraffes.

These are one of Daddy and my favorite.

They were licking their metal fence.

Tiny monkey fascinated with us.

This monkey can also uses its hands, feet, and tail to grip.

We thought this bird might land on your stroller.

But he just stared and stared.
We rested at a gazebo with benches for a little while. There was a huge open lawn behind it. It was the best part of the day (so far) to just relax, watch you play, and see the giraffes in the background. I felt like I truly got a glimpse of heaven.

But actually the best part of the day came when I put you down to sleep and you just started kissing me... and just kept right on kissing.

It was the SWEETest.
LOVE your kisses.

I love you,

Mamma <3
